Can the Rolls-Royce share price bounce back?

Can the Rolls-Royce share price bounce back?
More on:
2020 was a rough year for the
Rolls-Royce(LSE:RR) share price. After crashing by nearly 50% in March, the stock continued its downward trajectory until early October.
The business serves multiple industries. But around half of its income comes from the sale and maintenance of aircraft engines. When travel restrictions prevented planes from taking off, a large portion of its revenue stream evaporated. So seeing the stock collapse is not that surprising to me. But is that all about to change? And should I be adding this business to my portfolio?
US$12.3 TRILLION out of thin air… ....

Spy scandal soils Parliament’s leader
May 21, 2021
UPDATED: The president of the Norwegian Parliament, Tone Wilhelmsen Trøen, has been subject to scathing criticism after she made sure that an embarrassing report on Norway’s military intelligence agency was kept secret. She’s supposed to champion openness, but her double vote against declassifying the report helped keep the results of a probe into the agency’s role in the Frode Berg spying scandal under wraps.

Solberg survives Bergen Engines breakdown

Solberg survives Bergen Engines breakdown
May 21, 2021
Prime Minister Erna Solberg has avoided a lack of confidence vote in Parliament after she and her justice minister, Monica Mæland, apologized for the government’s lack of preparedness regarding the aborted sale of Bergen Engines this spring. That’s mostly because no one wants to unseat her government just 100 days ahead of the September election.
The opposition in Parliament wants voters to do that job, suggests Hege Ulstein, commentator in newspaper
Dagsavisen. She noted how the Parliament’s foreign affairs and defense committee reported this week that it thinks the government was negligent for almost allowing the sale of Bergen Engines, which has a highly strategic location in Bergen and is privvy to state secrets through its work on frigates and other defense material, to a company owned by Russian interests with direct ties to Russian President Vladimir Putin. ....

Murphy's Law: Norway Says No

MURPHY S LAW: Norway Says No

May 13, 2021:
In early 2021 Norway blocked British firm Rolls-Royce from selling Bergen Engines, a Norwegian firm Rolls Royce bought in the 1990s. Rolls-Royce kept Bergen Engines in Norway, where it was a major producer of maritime engines. A Norwegian court backed the ban of the sale, that would provide Rolls-Royce with $178 million of the $2.7 billion it was seeking to obtain by selling off assets to help it survive the covid19 recession that had reduced its sales and threatened the entire firm.
The Bergen Engine was to be sold to TMH Group, a Russian controlled holding company based in Switzerland. Why did the Russians want this Norwegian firm? Bergin Engine had sales of $333 million in 2019 and is a major supplier of naval engines to Norway and other NATO nations. While Norway has a law that blocks such “national security” sales, that law cannot block the sale indefinitely and the best s ....
