Perak Transit 4Q net profit grows 12% amid contribution from new IPTT, declares 0.8 sen dividend


KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 23): Perak Transit Bhd reported net profit of RM13.19 million for the fourth quarter ended Dec 31, 2020 (4QFY20), up 12% from RM11.83 million in the previous year’s corresponding quarter, amid contributions from a newly commenced terminal.
Revenue for the quarter rose 7.6% to RM35.26 million from RM32.76 million a year earlier. Earnings per share dipped to 0.69 sen from 0.83 sen.
It declared a dividend of 0.8 sen per share for the financial year.
In a statement, the group said the strong performance was underpinned by the Integrated Public Transportation Terminal (IPTT) operations, which saw higher project facilitation fee and better advertising and promotional (A&P) income, following the commencement of contributions from Kampar Putra Sentral from September onwards. ....
