News10NBC s crews made it to the scene at around 5:30 p.m. Monday. Just after 7 p.m., they saw law enforcement leave the scene near South Avenue, on the corner of Bailey Lane and Highland Avenue. Police say they had to deploy a SWAT team after someone reported a false incident, claiming a man barricaded himself inside 129 South Ave. and that he had shot his wife and neighbor. Police say the home is completely vacant and up for sale. ....

Mar 8, 2021 Edwina May (Hancox) Finn, of Garland, P.A., formerly of Sherman, N.Y., died unexpectedly on Friday March 5, 2021. Edwina was born Sept. 13, 1944 in Oil City, P.A., the daughter of Gregory J. and Alice (Holt) Hancox. On Dec. 23, 1961 she married Larry Finn, who passed away April 24, 2011. A nature lover at heart, she enjoyed hiking and long walks outdoors. She was a bird lover and most importantly she passed this passion of nature on to her children and grandchildren. As a homemaker, a roll she truly relished, she enjoyed cooking, baking and knitting. Above all she was a loving wife, mother, grand-mother, great-grandmother and great-great- grandmother. ....
