Print Tamera Kohler, CEO of the Regional Task Force on the Homeless, considers San Diego’s challenges and somehow remains optimistic. “I wake up every morning really sort of empowered to do this work,” Kohler said in a recent interview for the Name Drop San Diego podcast. “It goes back to the fact that I firmly believe this is a solvable problem. I get to see that every day we’re ending homelessness.” Kohler has worked on issues of housing and homelessness for many years in multiple locations, including serving as director of Utah’s homeless management information system and as director of Seattle’s homeless strategy and investment division. She joined the Regional Task Force on the Homeless in San Diego in 2017 as chief operations officer before becoming CEO in 2018. ....

Later, he helped reestablish a student radio station at his high school to broadcast a number of different sports and called games into college and early in his professional career for the Florida Marlins, the Florida Panthers (an ice hockey team) and the University of Miami. ....
