1. Every well-meaning Zambian is agreeable that things are very bad right now. The economy is crumbling with companies closing operations almost every day. The prices for goods and services are increasing on a weekly basis. There is a total breakdown in the rule of law whereby ruling party cadres are more powerful than the Police or the Military. Corruption in all its forms has reached unprecedented levels. In other words, President Edgar Lungu has failed to properly lead this nation and 12th of August presents an opportunity to the Zambian people to withdraw their mandate and replace Mr Lungu with someone else. Someone who can turnaround our economy. Someone who can bring back the rule of law and respect for institutions. Someone who can stamp out corruption. But who is that someone? ....

1. For the past 4 years or so, we have been feverishly talking about 2021 general elections. But now that we are here in 2021, we are talking about 12th August. We are now remaining with 8 months to the day of the polls, about 6 months to nominations and only about 4 months to dissolution of Parliament. Speaking for ourselves at the Patriots for Economic Progress (PeP), we are ready for the election season and cannot wait for 12th August so that we can ascertain the graciousness of the voters towards what we stand for as a Party. However, we are aware that there are millions of citizens out there who are apprehensive about this election season for fear that it might be chaotic or even degenerate into open conflict between political parties. Hence the question; how chaotic can it possibly be? ....

1. For almost two years now, we have watched without any reaction the hate, insults and innuendo that have been spewed against us by faceless online media such as Koswe and Zambian Watchdog. We have studied their pattern of insults and hate and tried to correlate them to specific politicians in order to try and ascertain the forces behind such spirited and yet baseless attacks against us. We have never cared about the motive because it is clear that the motive is to make us less appealing in the eyes of potential voters come 2021 general elections by lumping all manner of insults and innuendo on us. But today, we are happy to mention that we have been able to ascertain with reasonable certainty the identity of the forces behind these baseless attacks and insults against us using faceless online media. ....
