If you’re driving from Harrisburg to Philadelphia on the Pennsylvania Turnpike, there will soon be one landmark that will stand out around the Morgantown exit, exit 298.
Construction is coming along on Hollywood Casino Morgantown in Caernarvon Township, Berks County, which is just located off the Pennsylvania Turnpike and Interstate 176. The casino is expected to open towards the end of this year, according to Penn National Gaming spokesperson Jeff Morris. The casino is considered a mini-casino, called a Category 4 casino. Mini casinos became legalized in Pennsylvania in 2017.
