April 7, 2021 Courtesy of Petaluma Police Department A Petaluma traffic stop results in the arrest of a man for firearms and possession of fentanyl for sale. This past Saturday afternoon, a Petaluma Police officer was in front of the Petaluma Library conducting traffic enforcement when they observed a passing vehicle that had illegal equipment violations. During a traffic stop, the officer ran a records check and confirmed that Joseph Peter Ferretti was on pre-trial release from Sonoma County. A search of Ferretti himself resulted in the finding of a clear plastic bag containing fentanyl. Officers then searched the car finding a drawstring bag with digital scale, a bag of five bundles of fentanyl and two firearms. Ferretti was then booked into Sonoma County Jail on several drug and firearms charges. ....
