Bob Steuer, Longtime Film Sales Executive, Dies at 86 Pat Saperstein, provided by FacebookTwitterEmail Robert B. “Bob” Steuer, a longtime film sales executive with AIP, Film Ventures, 20th Century Fox and Premiere Entertainment Services, died Feb. 5 in Tarzana, Calif. after a long battle with dementia. He was 86. Born in New Orleans, Steuer graduated Tulane University and joined the U.S. Army where he held the rank of second lieutenant. More from Variety After leaving the Army, he began producing low budget feature films and eventually partnered to buy a radio station in Biloxi, Miss. He then bought a drive-in theater which played many films from independent distributor American International Pictures, whose founders Sam Arkoff and James Nicholson lured him to Hollywood. ....

Becky was born June 21, 1976, in Hannibal, MO to Weldon True and Bonita Booth True. She was previously married to Tony Clement. He survives. She later was previously married to Mark Burton. He also survives. Survivors include her adopted parents, Michael and Teresa Johnston; 3 children: Brian Clement, Cameron Burton, and Haleigh Burton; 1 brother, David True; 1 adopted aunt, Cindy Roberts; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Becky was preceded in death by her parents; 1 brother, Michael True; adopted grandparents, Barb and Dave Johnston; and adopted aunt, Karen Johnston. ....

Concern As DCI Detectives Nab Teenager With Knife In Class DCI detectives in Kwale County have arrested a 17-year-old student for being in possession of a knife in class. The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) said the school’s headteacher, Salah Yare, had earlier reported to police that some pupils had brought knives to class. Following the report, DCI detectives together with police officers visited the school and conducted a thorough search leading to the discovery of the knife. “Luckily, nobody was injured since detectives & our Police counterparts moved in swiftly,” said the DCI. The teenager has since been placed in custody and will be presented before court for preparation to commit a felony. ....
