Town Of Boone Releases Annual Meeting Notice
As required, the Town of Boone has made its annual announcement of Council meeting schedules.
Regularly scheduled meetings during 2021 will be held at 6:00 p.m, at the Council Chambers, 1500 Blowing Rock Road, Boone, on the third Thursday and the immediately preceding Tuesday of each calendar month. Agendas are posted on the Town Hall bulletin board. Agendas and accompanying materials are also published online at TownOfBoone.net as soon as prepared.
If anyone wishes to have an agenda item considered by the Boone Town Council at one of their upcoming regular meetings, scheduled for Tuesday, January 19, and Thursday, January 21, it must be submitted to the Town Clerk by Friday, January 8, at 5 pm. The agenda item request form is available on the Town’s Web site, or can be picked up at Town Hall, 567 W. King Street. ....

PUEBLO COUNTY, Colorado â The Town of Boone does not currently have a functioning fire department. Fire chief Robert Franz recently resigned and all of the volunteer firefighters left with him.
That left the town shorthanded when a fire broke out last Sunday, December 13, inside of an abandoned print shop.
Dispatchers sent units from the Pueblo County Sheriff s Office Emergency Services Bureau, the Pueblo Rural Fire Department, and the Pueblo Chemical Depot s fire department to extinguish the flames. ....

The Watauga County Board of Commissioners will meet at 5:30 P.M. on Tuesday, December 15. The meeting will be conducted electronically. You can access the meeting online or over the phone. Public comments received by 5:00 P.M. on Monday will be available to the board. Boone Fire Department receives improved insurance rating

BOONE â The N.C. State Fire Marshalâs Office conducted a Public Protection Class evaluation of the Boone Fire Department in July, and Boone Fire was recently notified that its PPC rating has improved.
The Insurance Service Office improved the departmentâs PPC inside the town of Boone to a PPC two rating and a PPC three rating in the rural district. Both ratings will become effective on Feb. 1, 2021.These PPC evaluations are conducted nationwide on over 50,000 fire departments and are used to set local insurance rates.
The rating system ranks from a one to 10. A PPC one rating reflects a superior rating while a PPC 10 indicates the department doesnât meet established standards. Lower PPC ratings reflects the fire departmentâs ability to suppress a fire. The PPC rating has a direct impact on fire insurance rates for both homeowners and commercial properties within each district. ....
