Turtle Mountain School Division Supt. Tim De Ruyck told the Sun on Monday that he was made aware of the first COVID case on March 27, with the remaining two cases coming to his attention over the next couple of days. Even though in-person classes wouldn’t resume for another week due to spring break, Manitoba Public Health and Manitoba Education told De Ruyck that his best course of action would be to institute remote learning for all Boissevain School students from this Monday until at least Friday.

All Sakimay school buses cancelled. Cowessess Community Education Centre buses not running. Park West School Division is closing all schools and division buildings today. All Moosomin, Maryfield, Rocanville, Wapella, Carlyle, Arcola, Redvers, Manor, Wawota, & Stoughton buses in the South East Cornerstone School Division are not running.
