Once again, I repeat, getting old is not for sissies .(me)
I am astounded by all the famous folks that I didn t know were Jewish. For instance, WILLIAM SHATNER. I just learned that he was from Montreal, Canada (where my mom was born! His ancestry is identical to mine . Canada, Russia, Ukraine, maybe Austria, maybe Poland.) He is about 90 years old . NOT ME!!
And, because I m thinking about me (what else is new?), I want to mention two of my favorite songwriters who are also Jewish .

Park Playhouse To Return To Washington Park

After a year-long shutdown forced by the coronavirus pandemic, Playhouse Stage Company will return to Albany’s Washington Park for a 33rd season.

As in years past, Producing Artistic Director Owen Smith says the company will split the summer between two musical productions:
Ain’t Misbehavin’ in July, and
Matilda, featuring the students of Park Playhouse, in August. But this summer, crowds will be capped at 200 people.
“We will have 100 paid seats on the ground and our free seats in the amphitheater, Smith explains. Everyone will have to have a reservation in advance and a digital ticket to be able to visit Park Playhouse. They will not be able to drop blankets on the hillside willy-nilly, you’re gonna have to have a reservation so that we can ensure our social distancing map is adhered to, and our attendance cap is adhered to.” ....

Orlando Shakes' 'Dream' a big step back for union actors

Orlando Shakes’ high-profile production of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” at Lake Eola Park is more than the theater’s first in-person show in over a year: It’s the first Orlando-area play to be approved by Actors’ Equity Association, or AEA, the New York-based union for professional performers and stage managers.
