This week, we have rounded up five of the most interesting planning applications that have been submitted to Buckinghamshire Council for decision. They include a development of up to 50 homes in High Wycombe and plans to turn a stable block into four new houses in Chalfont St Giles.
Limmer Lane, High Wycombe - up to 50 homes The land off Horns Lane is owned by Buckinghamshire Council and they initially outlined plans for 62 homes here. However, the plans have now been submitted, and that number has been reduced to 50. There will also be a network of pedestrian routes introduced. The field, which is surrounded by Horns Lane, The Paddocks and Linnet Close and is near the M40, used to be in the Green Belt but it was removed as part of the Wycombe District Local Plan and allocated for housing instead.

The film, Clydesdale: Saving the Greatest Horse, reveals how the breed is entering the “vortex of extinction”. Once exported from Scotland all over the world, the current small size and relative isolation of the population has impacted on its genetic diversity. Classed as “vulnerable” in the UK by the Rare Breeds Survival Trust, urgent action is needed to halt its decline.
