A Tallahassee man was streaming live video from his car on Facebook earlier this year when a person or persons unknown opened fire on him, killing him almost instantly. 
Leoninas Williams Jr., 29, a father of three, nicknamed “Keam,” was shot multiple times the night of Feb. 4 as he drove his red Honda Accord around Sunrise Place Apartments on Texas Street. ....

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The reward for information to help solve the murders of two women one from 2015 and one from last summer has increased to $9,500 due to a partnership between the Florida Association of Crime Stoppers and the Florida Office of Attorney General.
Bradla Sue Cook was beaten to death in her home on Harlow Boulevard on Oct. 28, 2015. Officers found her body when they went there to check on her welfare after a car belonging to her was found burning on Hyde Park Road She was 61 years old. [Full story on Cook’s death] ....

Rewards For Tips Upped As Murders Increase

Tallahassee, FL - With murders increasing in parts of Florida, rewards for tips resulting in homicide arrests can now reach $9,500, up from $5,000, Attorney General Ashley Moody announced Wednesday. “Florida has experienced historic crime rate lows. But unfortunately, we have seen in certain parts of our state significant increases in murders,” Moody said during a news conference at the Orlando Police Department. “We must root out the evil individuals in our communities that are inflicting violence on those that are simply trying to lead prosperous, safe, happy lives,” Moody added. “And we can make that a reality in every Florida community with the help of those that are willing to stand up and report information.” Moody worked with the Florida Association of Crime Stoppers to establish the new reward level for murders. The 27 Crime Stopper organizations in the state have been offering rewards between $1,000 ....

Crime Stoppers can now pay up to $9,500 for Florida tips in homicides


Florida s move to almost double reward money to those whose anonymous tips to Crime Stoppers statewide lead to an arrest in certain murder cases could be a boon, according to Jacksonville s volunteer tip line group.
Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody announced the increase this week, saying the maximum allowable award amount can now go from $5,000 to $9,500 for tips that pan out. There are 27 Crime Stopper organizations statewide.
I am hopeful this increased award amount will incentivize more Floridians with knowledge of murder cases to anonymously come forward, she said.
Money talks,  said Wyllie Hodges, executive director of First Coast Crime Stoppers that now offers up to $3,000 for tips that lead to arrests. ....
