Officers believe that just after midday on Saturday, a man and a woman went to a Pacific Haven Drive address, west of Hervey Bay, where a fight broke out with a 58-year-old man. Queensland police are appealing for people who might have spotted a man and a woman driving a 2011 Hyundai Accent sedan between 10pm on April 2 and midday on April 3 in the Burrum area. ....
The warning stretches as far north as Seventeen Seventy down to Caloundra. A trough with an embedded subtropical low over the central Coral Sea is forecast to deepen while moving rapidly southwest towards the Capricornia Coast on Sunday. It is then expected to adopt a south to south easterly track on Monday and move parallel to the coast, either along the coastal fringe or just offshore. The threat of heavy rainfall is highly dependent on the track of the trough and embedded subtropical low. The weather warning said the heavy rainfall may lead to flash flooding. Six-hourly rainfall totals between 120mm and 160mm are likely in some areas with locally intense falls of 200mm to 250mm possible over coastal communities and Fraser Island. ....

Premium Content Subscriber only The weather bureau has issued a flood watch warning for a number of Queensland rivers including the Mary and Burrum. A deepening trough along the Queensland coast is likely to bring heavy rainfall to the region from Sunday. While the heaviest falls are likely to occur north of Fraser Island to begin with, conditions are expected to worsen further south, including in Hervey Bay and Maryborough and down to the Queensland border. According to BOM, catchments to the north of the Sunshine Coast, which have not received as much rain as the south east and northern NSW, will be slower in responding to heavy rainfall but minor to moderate flooding is still possible for for both rivers along with the Cherwell River towards Childers. ....
