A study conducted by a number of specialists in the Sultanate found that 33 percent of women are diagnosed with breast cancer in late stages (three and four), despite the awareness that the chances of recovery from the disease are higher in the event of early diagnosis.
The study indicated that breast cancer is one of the most common types of cancer in the Sultanate, and it represents 12.8 percent of all cancers and 21.2 percent of cancers that affect women.
