11 charged after more than 40 warrants and FPO searches conducted – Raptor Squad
NSW Police have charged 11 people and executed 42 Firearms Prohibition Orders (FPO) searches and search warrants as part of a week-long operation targeting organised criminal networks across Sydney.
The State Crime Command’s Raptor Squad, with assistance from local police across the Sydney Metropolitan Region, conducted a ‘Week of Action’ between Wednesday 7 and Tuesday 13 April 2021.
During the operation, officers seized more than $400,000 cash, vehicles, weapons, jewellery, and electronic devices.
Officers also seized prohibited drugs with a combined estimated potential street value of more than $200,000.
All items will undergo further forensic examination.

$1 million cash seized; man charged over money laundering via Cryptocurrency – Cybercrime Squad
Cybercrime Squad detectives have seized $1 million cash and charged a man as part of an ongoing investigation into a criminal syndicate allegedly involved in the laundering of money via Cryptocurrency.
In October last year, detectives from the State Crime Command’s Cybercrime Squad established Strike Force Curns to investigate a criminal syndicate involved in cyber-enable money laundering.
Following extensive inquiries, Strike Force Curns investigators arrested a 30-year-old man following a vehicle stop at Homebush Road, Strathfield, about 5.30am today (Monday 22 February 2021).
The man was taken to Auburn Police Station.
