Hotel Rwanda’s Rusesabagina Deserves Prison
The beliefs Rusesabagina has sought to hold to the very end are moral equivalency, genocide denial, megalomania, and support for terror.
On November 9, 2005, President George W. Bush awarded Paul Rusesabagina, a Rwandan hotelier, with the Presidential Medal of Freedom. Rusesabagina “bears witness to an evil of the 20th century,” Bush said, as he repeated the story made famous by the Hollywood film “Hotel Rwanda.” Today, Rusesabagina sits in a Rwandan prison, facing trial on charges of terrorism, arson, kidnap, and murder charges. While Rusesabagina deserves praise for his 1994 actions, such good deeds cannot trump the reality of what Rusesabagina has become. In effect, he has become the Rwandan equivalent of Burmese politician and Nobel Laureate Aung San Suu Kyi. While many in the West once praisedAung San Suu Kyias a democrat, such past praise cannot erase her subsequent apologia for the Rohingya genocide.  ....

The Head of State, His Excellency Evariste Ndayishimiye accompanied with the First Lady Her Excellency Angeline Ndayishimiye, on Tuesday, February 2, 2021, launched the corn harvest in a field belonging to the VASO cooperatives operating in Bujumbura town.
After expressing satisfaction that the harvest was good in this 56 hectare field which produced more than 200 tons of maize, Burundi President made a strong appeal to Burundian businessmen to seek out markets abroad but also and above all to increase the local food processing industries with a view to make a good management of the harvest which is becoming more and more abundant in the country. ....

The President of the Republic HE Evariste Ndayishimiye visited this Saturday, January 30, 2021, Bujumbura and Bubanza provinces where he met the population living in the localities.

The President of the Republic of Burundi HE Evariste Ndayishimiye has launched officialy the two-day Government retreat on tuesday december 22nd, 2020 in Gitega to assess the new institutions, six months after their establisment.
During his speech, the Burundi President recalled the aim of the retreat, asking a question if they have respected the recommendations from the previous retreat, which took place in Ngozi on july
21st to 23rd, 2020.
Now is the time for evaluation and Burundian people will be the principal judge, to see if the Laborious and Responsible Government has done correctly his mission. Said HE Evariste Ndayishimiye. ....
