I have been involved with automation components for 35 years and I am currently the robotic tool changer Business Unit Manager for North America with Stäubli Corporation. I’m responsible for all projects related to the tool changer product line.

Give us some details about robotic tool changers and where they are being used?
It is a mechanical quick disconnect device that structurally handles the robot load while having the capability to switch out different EOAT. With that, it passes the utilities required to operate the EOAT. Tool changers offer additional flexibility to robots. Prepreg and autoclave cure have been the state of the art for aerospace and defense composite components for many years. Spintech Holdings Inc. Belarus to implement 15 sci-tech programs in 2021-2025
MINSK, 27 April (BelTA) - The government has defined lists of state and regional scientific and technical programs for 2021-2025. This is stipulated by Council of Ministers Decree No.173 of 26 March 2021, which was officially published on the National Legal Internet Portal on 27 April, BelTA has learned.
The list includes 14 state programs. Among them are Digital Technologies and Robotics, Advanced Chemical and Biological Technologies, Green Technologies for Resource Management and Eco-Safety, Smart Instrumentation, Innovative Engineering and Machine Building Technologies, Micro- and Nanoelectronics Industry, Innovative Materials and Technologies, National Standards and High-Tech Research Equipment, Innovative Agro-Industrial and Food Technologies. Braided carbon fiber & resin transfer molding for complex composites

In this Digital Demo, Craig Jennings, CEO of SpinTech Holdings Inc. introduces Hawthorn Composites and the high-value complex composites parts that are developed by deploying low-cost materials with resin transfer molding and novel manufacturing methods.
Tom Margraf, president of SpinTech Holdings Inc., reviews Hawthorn Composites case studies. One case study discusses a subscale munition fuselage that was originally assembled in three separate parts: a nose, a main body and a tail, using pre-preg and autoclave cures. Hawthorn’s methodology uses Smart Tooling overbraiding RTM to manufacture the component as one structural element. Other case studies include the comparison of a pre-preg autoclave cure versus braided sleeving and resin infusion process of manufacturing a UAV inlet duct and co-curing a tactical UAV-size wing. ....
