MG Hector has achieved a new production milestone in India, you guys! The British automaker announced that it has now made more than 50,000 units of the Hector SUV in India. What s even more interesting is that the 50,000th unit of the MG SUV was rolled out with an all-women crew at the company s manufacturing facility in Halol, Gujarat. In this women led the end-to-end production, only teams comprising of women were involved in panel-pressing of the sheet metal, welding, and painting jobs as well as executing the post-production test runs. After just 18 months of its launch, MG Motor India has decided to give the Hector SUV a mid-life refresh with some much-needed upgrades
It s unusual for a car this new to get a facelift, but MG Motor India has done just that by introducing a mid-life refresh to the Hector, just a year and a half after its launch. Priced between Rs 12.90 lakh and Rs 18.33 lakh, the facelifted model is pricier by up to Rs 44,000. At first glance, it seems not much has changed, but it does get some notable additions. MG Motor launches refreshed Hector SUV at Rs 12.9 lakh; adds 7-seater version
Refreshed version comes with two-engine options 1.5 litre turbocharged petrol and a 2-litre turbocharged diesel engine. Petrol version is offered with both manual and automatic transmissions while diesel version comes only with a manual gearbox

Chinese carmaker MG Motor India on Thursday refreshed its five-seater midsize SUV Hector while also adding a seven-seater version of the car. It had launched a six-seater version too last year. MG, which is owned by China s largest carmaker SAIC, had entered the Indian market with a bang in 2019 with the Hector receiving instant success. More than 40,000 units of the car have been sold in India so far.
