Interactive Cooking Experience With Kosher Chef Paula Shoyer

Reply (Paula Shoyer) Internationally acclaimed Kosher chef and baker, Paula Shoyer, will conduct an interactive cooking experience on Thursday, March 4 at 7:30 p.m. Sponsored by Congregation Beth Israel in Scotch Plains, this virtual event is open to the community. Paula Shoyer is a French-trained pastry chef who teaches cooking and baking classes around the world. Her recipes have been featured in newspapers, magazines, websites, blogs and on radio and television shows across the country. Her latest cookbook, The Instant Pot Kosher Cookbook: 100 Recipes to Nourish Body and Soul, was recently published in 2020 and is the first Instant Pot cookbook to feature kosher food. Paula s previous cookbooks include: The Kosher Baker; The Holiday Kosher Baker; The New Passover Menu; and The Healthy Jewish Kitchen.

Photo by Lindsey Max Popping up Two food trucks, Pop-Up Poutine and Pop-Up Patisserie, are wheeling around Montgomery County thanks to husband and wife entrepreneurs Greta Ober and Stephan Beauchesne. The Canadians, who live in Germantown, met at Montreal’s McGill University in 1988 and married in 1989. (Beauchesne, who was born and raised in Montreal, is quick to clarify he’s French-Canadian; Ober’s from the province of Saskatchewan.) He has an MBA in finance and economics; she has a master’s degree in library and information science.
