The Nicola Valley Rodeo Association follows a long list of organizations which has been forced to cancel their annual event, The Nicola Valley pro rodeo, which takes place on the Labour Day weekend each summer, will be pushed back for the second year in a row, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“This is the second year that COVID restrictions will not allow this event, and other events, due to limited numbers of paying spectators, limiting contestant numbers on the grounds, and travel restrictions provincially, nationally and internationally of rodeo contestants, personnel and rodeo stock,” said Lis Ladyman, a Director of the NVRA.
