Malaysia among top ten countries with highest commitment to cybersecurity

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia has successfully been ranked among the top ten countries with high commitment to cybersecurity in the Global Cybersecurity Index 2020 report conducted by the International Telecommunications Union (ITU).
Communications and Multimedia Minister Datuk Saifuddin Abdullah
(pix) said in the global ranking involving 194 countries, Malaysia obtained a score of 98.06 to be ranked joint fifth along with Russia and the United Arab Emirates.
He said at the Asia Pacific level, Malaysia is ranked second after South Korea and Singapore tied for the first position with a score of 98.52. ....

Ghana's Cybersecurity development ranked third in Africa - The Business & Financial Times

The 2020 Global Cybersecurity Index (GCI) report of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) released this week has placed Ghana third, behind Mauritius and Tanzania, with a score of 86.69 percent on the Global Cybersecurity Index (GCI) of the (ITU), said a press statement issued in Accra and signed by Dr. Albert Antwi-Boasiako, Head of the National Cybersecurity Authority-Ghana.
Since the GCI’s launch in 2015 it has been a trusted reference, measuring countries’ commitment to cybersecurity and raising awareness of its importance. The level of each country’s development or engagement is assessed along the five strategic pillars of the Union’s Global Cybersecurity Agenda (GCA) – i.e.,  ....
