The man killed last week at a Copus Christi apartment complex has been identified. Around 8:30 p.m. on May 3, Corpus Christi police officers were sent to the 100 block of Buccaneer Drive for a welfare concern. Upon arrival, officers found the body of 55-year-old Jay Vallantyne. Two days later, 19-year-old Ezekiel Garcia was taken in for questioning and arrested on a murder charge. His bond was set at $100,000. Ezekiel Garcia was arrested Wednesday by Corpus Christi Police Department officers. He was later transported to the Nueces County Jail where he was charged with murder and remains in lieu of a $100,000 bond. Police say the incident occurred at approximately 8:31 p.m. Monday after they were dispatched to the area in reference to a welfare concern. When officers arrived at the scene, they found a 55-year-old man dead. ....
