Friday afternoon, co-owner Marco Sandoval provided a tour of the new location to employees of the original location at 2208 Austin Avenue. “Right now we’re looking at possibly late August, early September,” Sandoval said in regard to an opening date. “We’re pretty much retrofitting an older building to fit our needs. It has new restrooms, a new kitchen, we had to figure out what works best for us. With COVID and all that, there’s a shortage of a lot of things so we’re really having to wait on a lot of items.” ....

Alabama News Updated: The three suspects in a shooting in Marion are indicted by a Perry County grand jury. Perry County District Attorney Michael Jackson says each of the suspects was indicted on thirteen separate charges. “Attempted murder charges, conspiracy to commit murder, shooting into occupied buildings, you name it, there are charges everywhere,” said Jackson. Thirty-six year old Lawrence Johnson 38 year old Christopher Roberts and 59 year old Gerald Hogue are all from Missouri. “They came to Marion, it appears for a particular reason. That’s to do bodily harm to some people.” The trio is accused of shooting a man on the 200 block of Booker Street last week in addition to one of his relatives. ....
