Harmony of Despair, and the original FC game has a real “what if Castlevania, but yokai” feel to it. So yes, obscure game that s never seen any love outside of Japan 30-odd years age… and we re getting a sequel? NOW? Friggin’ wild, man! And goodness, does Undying Moon look gorgeous – it s going for a “what if those crazy detailed ukiyo-e prints were animated and you could play them?” style. Indeed, there are plenty of visually sumptuous elements in the trailer… and that actually has me worried. See, this is an action game with roguelike elements, meaning that you re really going to want to keep a focus on enemies and your surroundings, but it seems like that could be very difficult with how much appears to be going on onscreen. Keeping the player s attention on important things in a visually busy game with lots happening onscreen is no small feat, and while developers like Cave and Vanillaware know how to nail it, I m not sure if indie developer ....
The catch, though, was that these games were only made available for a limited time. Super Mario 3D All-Stars was released in September and Super Mario Bros 35 in October, but Nintendo announced both games would be discontinued from 1 April 2021 – not only would physical copies of All-Stars no longer be made, but both games would be completely removed from the eShop. Naturally, this rubbed fans up the wrong way. While it certainly caused a rush to download the games immediately – and a second rush this past week to download the games in time – it’s a cynical move on Nintendo’s part to drive sales in a limited period. Will the games be made available in another form after this date? What about game preservation? We still don’t know. ....

A longtime pizza joint in downtown Belmont will shut its doors this week. Doffer’s Pizzeria, located next to The String Bean at 106 N. Main St., announced that it will close Sunday at the end of restaurant s lease. “We will permanently close our doors March 7,” the restaurant wrote in a statement posted on Facebook on Feb. 23. We will do dinner hours only between now and then. Hope to see everyone over the next few weeks. Johnny B’s Pizza Pad was purchased by Jason Toms and renamed to Doffer’s Pizzeria in 2019. Johnny B’s opened along South New Hope Road in 2004 and moved to 106 N. Main St. in Belmont in 2010. ....
