COLUMBIA - Starting Wednesday, businesses in Columbia will be able to set their own restrictions regarding masks and social distancing.
Health orders will expire May 12 at 11:59 a.m. KOMU 8 talked to nine businesses on what their next steps are.

Fieldhouse Bar and Grill Peoria closed for a month

PEORIA – Much like Bradley University, next to which it sits, The Fieldhouse Bar & Grill is to undergo a winter break.

COVID-19 restrictions that prohibit indoor dining are a closure factor. But according to Fieldhouse co-owner Elizabeth Dwyer, there are others.
Dwyer cited January as usually being among the slowest months for restaurants, business-wise.
Projecting sales and costs, factoring in weather and other uncertainties, it makes the most sense for us financially, she stated about the closure.
The absence of Bradley students and staff also affected the restaurant at 1200 W. Main St., Dwyer suggested. ....
