REED CITY â A 45-year-old Marion man whose wife was allegedly killed by his girlfriend last June faced charges that claimed he tampered with evidence and other offenses during his arraignment in Osceola County s 77th District Court.
Michael Edward Beebe was charged with one count of tampering with evidence in a criminal case punishable by more than 10 years in prison and accessory after the fact of a felony for his connection with incidents occurring on June 9 in Osceola County s Highland Township. A habitual offender second offense notice was added to the charges, which enhance the maximum penalty by 1.5 times.
If convicted of the tampering offense, Beebe faces up to 15 years in prison and/or $30,000 in fines.

LONOKE COUNTY, Ark. (KAIT) - A White County man died Saturday night after state investigators say he pointed a shotgun at a police officer and a deputy.
According to Arkansas State Police, the incident happened around 10:30 p.m. March 13 outside of a home in Austin.
Lonoke County sheriff’s deputies and Austin police had been searching for 24-year-old Dustin Black after he reportedly shot at a woman on Seminole Circle around 8 p.m.

Newly elected Prineville Mayor Jason Beebe gave his first-ever State of the City address under unusual circumstances that seemed fitting as he highlighted the 2020 year.
Unlike most addresses that are given in front of a seated crowd during a live city council meeting, the one presented by Beebe last Tuesday evening took place in front of a video camera with the mayor wearing a face covering. No members of the public watched the State of the City in person but were instead invited to view it online.
