A collection of farming machinery and bygones is set to go under the hammer following the death of a passionate and adventurous Suffolk farmer.
The auction, at Cuckoo Tye Farm in Acton near Sudbury, includes tractors, harvesters and vintage equipment amassed by the late Peter Miller, who died in May at the age of 78 after a long and courageous battle against motor neurone disease. ....

Pig prices have made a significant step towards recovery with the largest weekly rise in five years, according to AHDB figures.
In the week ended 1 May, the GB EU-spec SPP jumped by 2.34p/kg to average 147.44p/kg.
The rise is the largest week-on-week price increase since August 2016, said AHDB Pork analyst Hannah Clarke.
It was achieved despite increased supply, with throughput and carcass weights both rising.
Estimated clean pig slaughter at GB abattoirs totalled 177,700 head for the week, up 0.4% on the previous seven days and up 2% on the same week a year ago, Ms Clarke said. ....

Tighter supply across the EU and a strong underlying demand have pushed up pork prices for the second week running, according to pig sector analysts.
Figures released by AHDB Pork show the EU-spec SPP rose 1.18p/kg to average 141.74p/kg in the week ending 3 April 2021. The upward shift came after a rise of 0.96p/kg in the previous week and a fortnight of stable prices before that.
The latest increase was recorded in the first Easter holiday week, which traditionally sees pork prices under pressure and throughputs drop. ....
