In the past few weeks, there has been a marked decline in cases in the state.
Bihar began lifting Covid lockdown restrictions, in force in the state for more than a month, from June 9.
Certain curbs, however, will not be lifted, the govt announced. Night curfew and shortened business hours will continue to be in force. The restriction on public gatherings also remains in place.
Some of these restrictions will remain in force for another week after which there would be a review and further instructions would be issued, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said.
Lockdown in Bihar has been imposed till June 8. The restrictions include suspension of almost all business activities. Shops dealing in essential items have been allowed to do business for four hours from 6 am to 10 am in the morning
