Wayne LaPierre is a crap shot. The NRA CEO’s lousy aim is the second worst kept secret at the gun charity the first is the alleged rampant self-dealing and his latest effort to use the bankruptcy court in Dallas to parachute the organization out of New York appears to have missed the mark spectacularly.
LaPierre has made no bones about the ploy, writing on the NRA’s website that that the charity is in its “strongest financial condition in years” and is only filing for bankruptcy to escape “the unhinged and political attack against the NRA by the New York Attorney General.” ....

Nearly a month after the National Rifle Association’s trial kicked off in Texas, those proceedings have been drawing to a close on Monday with an attorney for the New York attorney general’s office claiming that the filing of the bankruptcy petition involved a fraud upon the court. ....

NRA’s Bankruptcy Lurches Forward ~ But Who Speaks for NRA Members?
USA – -(AmmoLand.com)- The slow-motion train wreck of the NRA, just keeps piling up in spectacular fashion.
A new investigative report by Bloomberg’s propaganda wing, “The Trace,”  ( www.thetrace.org/2021/03/nra-new-york-texas-bankruptcy-brewer-lapierre-letitia-james/) and one of the Democratic Party’s online propaganda outlets, “The Daily Beast” has published excerpts of a presentation to the Board outlining a legal strategy to escape New York.
Despite the biased sources, the story appears to have sound legs. Meanwhile, the NRA’s bankruptcy case has seen some interesting action, as the NRA Board of Directors met in an emergency session on Sunday, March 28 to retroactively endorse the Association’s Chapter 11 bankruptcy plan. We’ll cover all that in due time, but let’s start ....

U.S.A. –-(AmmoLand.com)- The Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms sister organization to the Second Amendment Foundation and typically operating in its shadow is launching an aggressive multi-network television advertising effort focusing on Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee’s H.R. 127, and it could reach millions of people over the next week.
For CCRKBA, it does two things. First, it’s an attention-getting bare-knuckles approach to what Chairman Alan Gottlieb calls an “extremist” piece of legislation. Second, the ad campaign will raise CCRKBA’s profile among grassroots activists at a time when it appears the National Rifle Association may be flailing due to the lawsuit filed last August by New York Attorney General Letitia James that seeks to dissolve the ....

U.S.A. –-(AmmoLand.com)- The judge in the NRA’s Chapter 11 bankruptcy case, has set March 9th, 2021, as the date for hearing most of the early motions. That’s the day when we should find out whether the judge is going to throw the case out altogether or allow it to continue.
The first item on the agenda for that hearing is supposed to be Phil Journey’s motion to have an Examiner appointed to investigate the litany of accusations made against the Association’s executives and officers. Journey was elected to the NRA Board last year and raised the ire of NRA leadership with his motion. That was followed by a motion from Ackerman McQueen, calling for the bankruptcy to be dismissed, or if not dismissed, for a Trustee to be appointed. That motion was echoed the next day in a motion from the NY AG ....
