GREEN BAY – Three men allege in lawsuits filed in federal court that Green Bay officers sucker punched two of them and allowed a police dog to maul the third during separate arrests.
Richard Sechrist, 38, and Brian Matt, 32, both allege officers punched them in the face while they were handcuffed. Damon Vandehei, 19, alleges an officer allowed the dog to attack him while he was surrendering.
All three are represented by attorneys from Madison-based law firm Strang, Bradley, LLC. The lawsuits name the city of Green Bay and three Green Bay police officers as defendants.
Sechrist was arrested in 2018; Vandehei and Matt were arrested earlier this year. Each of their lawsuits accuses a different officer of abuse.
