Share this article The Cathaoirleach of Killarney Municipal District is organising an emergency meeting for councillors over the long-awaited Kilcummin Sewerage Scheme. Brendan Cronin took the decision as disappointment was expressed over details of the €9 million scheme by Irish Water, which is due to begin at the end of next year. Independent councillor Donal Grady made the claim during the Killarney Municipal District meeting, when others said they took offence to claims that the town is falling apart. Fianna Fáil councillor Niall Kelleher said he takes offence to the narrative that Killarney is falling apart. Advertisement He commended the local authority in maintaining and improving the area.
