Pettis County Woman Arrested on Drug Trafficking Charges
On Thursday at approximately 5 p.m., Pettis County Deputies, the Mid-Missouri Drug Task Force, and the Missouri State Highway Patrol executed a search warrant at 706 McVey Road, reference drug activity.
In March of this year, Pettis County Sheriff Brad Anders received intelligence implicating Melissa Tobin (Bacon) in the sales and distribution of methamphetamine.
This investigation continued for the following months culminating in today’s warrant service.
During service, Tobin was taken into custody without incident. There were five juvenile children present in the home; all of which were released to family members after a hotline report was made to Division of Family Services.

Gov. Ralph Northam has appointed attorney Eric Reynolds as Virginiaâs first childrenâs ombudsman, more than a year after legislation establishing the office was signed into law. Reynolds started Friday and will serve a four-year term. He will report directly to the governor.
