Written By: News Tribune | × Good people Jim Adkins and Bud Krause have been recognized by Jacqueline Wacker, coordinator of the Arrowhead Economic Opportunity Agency’s Meals on Wheels program. The men have volunteered in Duluth for years, but during the COVID-19 pandemic, they’ve both turned it up a notch, Wacker said. Adkins has been a volunteer with Meals on Wheels since 2013. He said he loves visiting with the people on his route. Krause began volunteering with the program in 2015. Before retiring, he had worked for The City of Duluth Water and Gas Department for 38 years.
