Pressure is mounting on the District Chief Executive (DCE) for the Birim North District Assembly in the Eastern Region, Mr Remond Damptey as some youth in the area call his academic qualification into question. According to the youth, the DCE who is also seeking a reappointment had included in his academic qualifications, a certificate purported to have been awarded him by the University of Cape Coast. Documents made available to the Ghanaian Times in Accra revealed that Mr Damptey, as part of his reapplication for the position, submitted his Curriculum Vitae to the Constituency Secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) and attached to it was the certificate. ....
