British app developers have now made a total of £3.6bn from their iPhone apps

British App Store developers saw their total earnings increase by a more than a fifth last year as the pandemic encouraged more people to spend money on apps.
The total amount made by UK developers to date, who share up to 30pc of their revenues from App Store purchases, hit £3.6bn in 2020, according to Apple.
The booming demand for apps was driven by people staying at home and turning to apps that helped with learning, working from home and staying active. ....

Fortnite maker Epic Games has taken its battle against Apple and Google to United Kingdom, as the company has submitted a complaint to the United Kingdom s Competition Appeal Tribunal, saying that Apple s decision to remove Fortnite from the App Store was unlawful and the company is aiming to get Apple to allow Fortnite back on the British App Store.
In an official statement to MacRumours, Epic Games said that the filing with the Competition Appeal Tribunal is an important argument that it is making on behalf of consumers and developers in the UK.
