Experts say getting them back into a routine is a must right now. Author: Jeremy Baker Updated: 6:35 PM CDT May 19, 2021
SAN ANTONIO While the school year is just ending, one University Health psychiatrist says parents need to start preparing their children for in-person classes this fall.
Preparing for the fall involves two main things: Getting back into a routine and getting back into health.
As for health, that can mean getting rid of extra weight that many, including us adults too, have picked up over the last year. I think one of the most difficult things for kids returning to school is going to be getting used to structure and routine, said Dr. Bridget Bailey who is a child and adolescent psychiatrist with University Health and Director of the Child and Adolescent Residency Program and Professor of Psychiatry at UT Health San Antonio.

Students fresh out of art school often shake up old ideas. If thereâs a trend in this yearâs group of up-and-coming Master of Fine Arts graduates (from Boston University, the School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts University, Massachusetts College of Art and Design, and University of Massachusetts Dartmouth), itâs about subjectivity. That is, the interior experience of any being â how it is shaped by society and still full of mysteries. Who am I? Who are you? Does a place have a self? Does the universe?

When Bradley Milligan entered the College of Fine Arts, he saw himself as a traditional painter, working with oils. But during his two years in the Graduate Painting program his approach to painting underwent a significant transformation. Today he uses elements of sculpture and construction to create what he describes as “freestanding, built paintings” that consider issues of masculinity, race, and American politics.
Milligan (CFA’21) is one of 17 artists whose exciting work can be seen in this year’s MFA Painting Thesis Exhibition, now on view at the Faye G., Jo, and James Stone Gallery through April 26. There are 34 paintings, representing the culmination of the artists’ thesis work, in the 2021 show.

Tom Brady at the incredible age of 43 is back in yet another Super Bowl, this time with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Unbelievably, it will be his tenth, all the rest with the New England Patriots.
It is time again to look at the Famine Irish heritage of the greatest quarterback to ever don a football jersey and perhaps the greatest American athlete ever.
