Rafters, kayakers rescued from White River in Noblesville

NOBLESVILLE, Ind. The Noblesville Fire Department is warning the public to stay out of the White River while water levels are high.
Shortly after 3 p.m. Sunday, a rescue team pulled five rafters out of the river after their raft got stuck in debris near Cumberland Road.
Thankfully, the fire department already had a boat on the river when the call came in and a crew was able to respond quickly.
There were no injuries during the incident. NFD said it was the second water rescue of the day. The first time, kayakers had to be brought to safety after also getting caught in debris in the river. ....

Noblesville Fire Department, health officials push to vaccinate homebound residents

NOBLESVILLE, Ind. (WISH) The Noblesville Fire Department says the Homebound Hoosier EMS Vaccine Administration Program will help residents in the area who are unable to leave their homes get vaccinated.
The program is a cooperative public health effort within the state of Indiana.
“It’s really important that we are able to get to those people,” said Noblesville Fire Department Chief of EMS James Macky.
The fire department says they’re teaming up with the Hamilton County Health Department to reach these at-risk or hard-to-reach people.
“The thing that came to mind is the fact that we have elderly people within our communities that may be homebound,” said Macky. “They can’t get out to actually get a vaccination and so the question started to come up, ‘How do we handle that? How do we get to those people? ” ....

One hurt in Noblesville apartment fire

It happened Thursday evening in a complex near State Road 32 and Little Chicago Road.

NOBLESVILLE, Ind. One person was injured Thursday in an apartment fire on Noblesville s west side.
It happened in the 5400 block of Village Winds Drive, which is near State Road 32 and Little Chicago Road.
Firefighters found heavy fire and smoke upon arrival.
A Noblesville Fire Department spokesperson said one person was pulled from a fire-involved apartment by a neighbor. The victim was taken by ambulance to Eskenazi Hospital.
The victim s condition is not known at this time.

1 hospitalized with burns after neighbor's rescue in Noblesville apartment fire

NOBLESVILLE, Ind. (WISH) A 57-year-old man is hospitalized in Indianapolis after being pulled from a fire by their next-door neighbor Thursday night, Noblesville Fire Department said.
The fire was reported sometime before 8:50 p.m. Thursday in the 5400 block of Village Winds Drive. That’s at the Pebble Brook Village Apartments located east of Little Chicago Road off State Road 32.
Crews arrived to large flames and smoke coming from an apartment building. They also found the man lying in front of an apartment. Two apartments were significantly damaged.
The man pulled from the fire was taken to Sidney & Lois Eskenazi Hospital to be treated for burns. ....
