It’s over between “The Mentalist” star Simon Baker and wife Rebecca Rigg after more than 20 years of marriage, People magazine reports.
Baker and Rigg quietly separated in April, and told the magazine in a statement, We remain close friends and our three children will always be the most important focus of our lives.”
Baker, 51, and Rigg, 53, have three adult children, Stella, 27, Claude, 22, and Harry, 19.
The couple wed in 1998, and Simon told People a few years ago that they didn’t celebrate their anniversary. We ve never really been big on it,” he said in 2018. “Anniversaries, they re an odd thing, aren t they? I think we put too much pressure on it. It s not like that with us. We re a team. Hollywood is mourning another legend. Cicely Tyson passed away yesterday at 96. Just before her death, she had been busy promoting her new memoir, “Just as I Am.”
“CBS This Morning’s” Gayle King, who had just interviewed Tyson about her book, is preparing a primetime special to air Sunday night on BET called “Cicely Tyson: In Her Words.”
King opened up to “Extra’s” Billy Bush about Cicely and how she’s still processing the loss.
“Just a week ago, we were sitting with Cicely in her church in Harlem doing this interview,” she said. “So Oprah called me yesterday and I could tell, FaceTime, and I could tell by her face something was wrong… and then she said, ‘Cicely, did you hear about Cicely?’… When I got the news, I felt like I’d been kicked in the stomach, honestly.”

The legendary Cicely Tyson has died at 96.
Tyson died Thursday, as reported by The Wrap and confirmed by her longtime manager Larry Thompson in a statement from her family that read, With a heavy heart, the family of Miss Cicely Tyson announces her peaceful transition this afternoon. At this time, please allow the family their privacy.
No cause or other details of her passing were provided.
For decades, Tyson had been an icon in entertainment, having achieved success onstage, on TV, and in the movies, and having embraced her status as a role model for Black women in an industry notoriously unwelcoming to them.
