Airplane journeys are typically uneventful. Usually they are spent sleeping, reading or perhaps watching a film. However, for one woman a Delta flight will be forever etched on her memory as it was where gave birth to a surprise baby.
The incredible scene happened above the Pacific Ocean on a journey from Salt Lake City, Utah to Hawaii, and was captured by TikTok user Julia Hansen in a video posted April 30.

I’d always imagined having two kids. Not in some clichéd 2.4 children way, but rather because I come from a family of four and my siblings were such an intrinsic part of my childhood I wanted to give that gift to my son.
However, when my husband and I started talking about the possibility of a second child, a huge factor in our decision was the fact I suffered awful postnatal depression (PND) after the birth of our son in 2016, and I was absolutely terrified about it coming back. By this point our son was three; we’d just got our sleep back, we felt like a (mostly) functional and portable little unit, and things were generally on an even keel. It was stupid, surely, to throw a curveball into that new-found calm? PND remains the worst thing that’s ever happened to me. It struck when my son was a month or so old, and lasted for about a year. AUSTIN, Texas Despite advances in medicine and technology, childbirth isn’t likely to get much easier on women from a biological perspective.
Engineers at The University of Texas at Austin and University of Vienna revealed in new research a series of evolutionary trade-offs that have created a near-perfect balance between supporting childbirth and keeping organs intact on a day-to-day basis. Human reproduction is unique because of the comparatively tight fit between the birth canal and baby’s head, and it is likely to stay that way because of these competing biological imperatives.
The size of the pelvic floor and canal is key to keeping this balance. These opposing duties have constrained the ability of the pelvic floor to evolve over time to make childbirth easier because doing that would sacrifice the ability to protect organs. ....
