DDC Anantnag visits far flung areas, holds Public Darbars

ANANTNAG, Aug 4: Accompanied by district and sectoral officers, District Development Commissioner Anantnag Dr. Piyush Singla today visited Shangus, Nowgam, Chattabal and other far flung areas of the district, here. He held Public/Awami Darbars at Shangus and Nowgam where local people along with their representatives (DDCs, BDC Chairpersons, Sarpanches and other PRI members) besides prominent civil society and Auqaf committee members participated.
Addressing the gatherings at both places, the DDC said that adminstration is committed to provide transparent and accessible governance to the people besides prompt redressal of their grievances and demands. Anantnag/Islamabad, Jul 27: The family members of Imran Ahmad Dar, a resident of Batengoo Anantnag, who was killed in a gunfight at Munad area of Kulgam district, have contested police claim stating that their son had no connection with militancy and that he was a civilian.
Zahid Ahmad, the brother of slain Imran, his brother told news agency Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that Imran had a small argument with his father a few days before and he left home, however, he was with his friends in their own village and they used to see him on daily basis.
