La principal arquitecta del Acuerdo de Cambio Climático de París de 2015, Christiana Figueres, señaló que la próxima Conferencia de la ONU sobre Cambio Climático (COP26), debería ser “un evento híbrido”, con buena parte de las actividades de manera virtual.
En ese sentido, la emergencia sanitaria de la Covid-19 implica la necesidad de tomar precauciones.
“Durante los últimos 18 meses hemos tenido que cambiar la forma de pensar y darnos cuenta que algunas cosas se pueden hacer sin la presencia física; sin embargo, creo que hacer la actividad completamente virtual sería extremadamente difícil por la cantidad de gente que participaría. ....
