Gombak gadget store owner helps desperate e-hailing driving who had only RM24 in his wallet


PETALING JAYA: An electronic gadget store owner in Gombak has taught Malaysians a fresh lesson in humanity after he helped a desperate single father who appeared at his shop to buy a new phone with only RM24 in his wallet.
Mohd Fadli Salleh, who is the store s owner and a primary school teacher, shared a story on social media about how his staff member called him after a man came to their store begging to pay in instalments for a new phone.
Mohd Fadli, whose shop did not accept instalments, said that the man was a divorcee who works as a Grab driver to look after his 72-year-old mother and his four-year-old child. ....

Police uproot 200 marijuana plants

ABOUT 200 fully grown marijuana plants were uprooted by members of the City Intelligence Unit of the Cebu City Police Office, Wednesday morning, May 19, 2021.
The marijuana plants in sitio Kamansili, Barangay Pangamihan in Toledo City are due for harvest.
The CIU headed by Police Lt. Col. Randy Caballes received information from a concerned citizen of the existence of the marijuana plants.
According to the initial investigation, the illegal plants were planted by a certain Miguel .
The uprooted marijuana plants have an estimated value of P80,000.
