Gifting plays a huge role in Hari Raya celebrations. Apart from price, one particular promotion that is extremely appealing to Malaysians during this period are collaborations with other brands (47%), according to Grab study done in January this year. The study, which surveyed 3,171 Malaysian Grab users, found that 45% of consumers preferred offers gifting a bundle pack while 25% liked promotions that connect with the community through charitable activities.
According to the study, the top three gifting categories in Malaysia are groceries (63%), fashion and apparel (41%), and hampers and gift baskets (23%). Majority of Malaysians (36%) preferred gift hampers between RM51 to RM150 while 34% wanted the price to be under RM50. Only 14% and 16% said the price range should be more than RM301 and between RM151 and RM300 respectively. The study was also conducted among 1,995 Indonesian users and 65% also preferred to be ....

Wee: No government ruling on age limit of e-hailing drivers

PETALING JAYA: There is no age limit or maximum age to becoming e-hailing drivers under government rules, says Transport Minister Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong.
He said neither his ministry nor the Road Transport Department (JPJ) had set any condition or rule regarding age limit for any individual wishing to hold a Vocational Licence to work as a driver of a public service vehicle (PSV Licence) including e-hailing and goods vehicles (Goods Driving Licence).
“Individuals may continue to hold or renew their Vocational Licence as long as they comply with all other necessary conditions including submitting a medical report confirming that they are healthy and able to perform driving functions safely, ” he said in a statement yesterday. ....

LG Electronics and Mirae Asset Group said Friday they have agreed to create a fund to invest in promising startups both at home and abroad as part of their efforts to find new business opportunities.

No upper age limit on e-hailing drivers set by Transport Ministry, says Dr Wee

PETALING JAYA: There is no maximum age limit fixed for e-hailing drivers under the Transport Ministry, says Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong.
The minister said neither the ministry nor the Road Transport Department (JPJ) had set any conditions or rules regarding the maximum age for any individual who wishes to hold a Vocational Licence to work as a driver of a public service vehicle (including e-hailing) or goods vehicle.
Any individual may continue to hold or renew their Vocational Licence, as long as the individual complies with all other necessary conditions including submitting a medical report confirming that they are healthy and able to perform driving functions safely, he said in a statement on Friday (April 30). ....
