Iron Spring Farm is pleased to introduce the 11-year-old Approved KWPN stallion Cum Laude. He’s everything you could want in a stallion: exceptional movement, great character and striking beauty. Cum Laude was successful in the show ring as a young horse, up through the levels to CDI Prix St. Georges and Intermediate I. He’s also a popular sire, with several elite mares to his credit. “Cum Laude came in training with us when he was five years old,” recalls his former rider and owner Vai Bruntink. “I immediately fell in love with him. He was so pretty and sweet.” Bruntink continued to develop the stallion and took him to the young horse classes as a six-year-old. He scored an 82 in the first round of the Pavo Cup and finished in 5th place. He was also a high scoring crowd favorite at national shows during this time. ....

Katherine Bateson s 2010 WEG Team Horse Nartan Passed Away Wed, 12/30/2020 - 15:01 U.S.A. Nartan, the Dutch warmblood gelding that took American dressage rider Katherine Bateson-Chandler to the 2010 World Equestrian Games, has passed away on 29 December 2020. He was 25 years old. Nartan was a 1995 born KWPN gelding by Jazz out of Tanja (by Le Faquin). He was bred by W. van Looveren. Haazen s Small Tour Champion Nartan was trained from novice level to Grand Prix by the petite Dutch rider Jeannette Haazen. Their first claim to fame came in 2000 when they were ninth in the Pavo Cup Finals. In 2001 they showed in the 6-year old division at the World Young Horse Championships in Verden, Germany, where they were 26th in the second round with a 6.8 score. ....
