Wisconsin Supreme Court takes on local case of man fighting conviction in toddler's death

A UK national has been fined for breaching a Covid-15 regulation near Punchestown Racecourse.
James Denton, 30, whose address was given as 5 Totnes Avenue, Liverpool, was prosecuted for breaching a Covid-19 regulation and with failing to comply with the direction of a garda after the State alleged he was present near Punchestown Racecourse without good reason on January 18.
Solicitor David Powderly told Naas District Court on February 10 the defendant was using a drone to film and stream live horse races at the venue for people who gamble on in running races. ....

For the first time in history, the UK is planning to set up an ‘internet watchdog’.
The announcement of the Office of Communication, better known as Ofcom, to head up the new form of regulation came on Wednesday 12 February, and will see the an independent company regulating the content of social media platforms operating in the United Kingdom such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and TikTok.
Ofcom is a regulatory authority approved by the UK Government, founded in 2003. It is known for regulating daily communication services such as phones, televisions and mobile services, but also oversees broadcast and radio licenses as well as the Universal Postal Service. Although its responsibilities are determined by Parliament, Ofcom itself is independent and funded by fees paid by the companies it regulates. Cal Poly Raymond J. Prince Endowment Reaches Initial Goal; Founders Recognized

Cal Poly’s Raymond J. Prince Graphic Communication Future Leader Scholarship Endowment reached a milestone in its fundraising efforts by procuring an initial $30,000, in time to vest the endowment before the end of 2020.
The endowment was established in honor of printing industry veteran Ray Prince, who passed away May 1, 2020. Cal Poly Professor Emeritus Harvey Levenson and Graphic Communication Department Advisory Board member Ray Hartman led the two-part endowment fund drive. The first part has been achieved. The second part, to raise an additional $70,000 by the end of 2021 to enhance the endowment’s annual earnings for student scholarships, is ongoing. ....
