The 200-year old wine is the sweet and nectar-like Grand Constance 1821, made in Constantia near Cape Town. Napoleon was fabled to drink a bottle of the stuff every day and after his death in May 1821, his allocation was liberated for general sale. It’s thought that fewer than a dozen bottles of this vintage still exist and, with a reserve price of £5,000, this lot is expected to attract considerable interest. ....
