Snacking company Pladis is set to launch four new flavours for its McVitie’s Milk Chocolate Digestives and McVitie’s Milk Chocolate Hobnobs brands.
The McVitie’s British Icons range consists of Strawberry Cheesecake and Lemon Drizzle flavours for McVitie’s Milk Chocolate Digestives and Chocolate Brownie and Sticky Toffee Pudding flavours for McVitie’s Milk Chocolate Hobnobs.
The range will be available from January and each pack will retail at £1.59.
Pladis said the range will help attract McVitie’s customers aged between 25- and 40 to the biscuit aisle and the “everyday treat sub-category”. ....

When The Hershey Co. introduced its chocolate bar with almonds in 1908, it used whole almonds and the bar remained that way for 108 years.
Then in 2016, the Hershey, Pa.-based company decided it was time for a formulation change – the use of chopped almonds, according to a report by Food Business News..
“We thought we would try something new to increase our almond bar consumption by adding chopped almonds so we could claim ‘an almond in every bite,’” said Shawn Houser-Fedor, The Hershey Company, during a presentation Thursday during the Almond Board of California’s virtual conference. ....
