The latest addition is a new lot on the corner of Yuba St. and Pine Ave. This lot has 37-spots and is located in the middle of downtown Redding. This lot is encouraged to be treated as a limited two-hour parking lot to allow more people into the heart of downtown.

Firefighters quickly stomped on two grass fires that broke out on Friday.  The first fire grew to about 2 to 3 acres in the area of Twin Creek Lane and Old Forty-four Drive between Redding and Palo Cedro.  The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection received the fire call about 11:40 a.m. Firefighters asked for help from the Redding Fire Department andinitially requested aircraft to fight the Twin Fire.
