Robert MacIntyre may be one of golf s fastest rising stars but he is delighted that home comforts can keep his feet firmly on the ground.
After an impressive Desert Swing to start the 2021 Race to Dubai, he cracked the top 50 in the Official World Golf Ranking and earned himself a debut at the Masters Tournament.
He headed to the United States where he not only finished in the top 12 to earn a return to Augusta National, but also made it to the last 16 at the WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play, advancing from a group containing World Number One Dustin Johnson. ....

Rafa Cabrera Bello said he is loving the job of hosting the Gran Canaria Lopesan Open this week and is hopeful course knowledge and returning form will help him produce a good result at Melonares Golf.
The Spaniard, who made his debut during the European Tour’s last visit to Gran Canaria in 2002 as a 17 year old amateur, is now relishing the role as tournament host on the Tour’s return to his home country.
“It’s a really, really cool experience,” said Cabrera Bello, who was born and grew up playing on the island.
“As a kid you don’t really grow up dreaming about being a tournament host, but once you see the other guys who have had the opportunity and that huge honour, I thought it’d be cool to be host one day. We’ve come back to Gran Canaria, I’m loving it this week. It’s a very nice feeling because you look back on your career and you think � ....

Ryan Fox leads the Saudi International and is in contention for second European Tour win


Ryan Fox is tied for the lead after his second round at the Saudi International when he completed a second consecutive five-under-par 65 on Friday (Saturday NZ time).
Play was suspended early on day two because of bad weather but Fox completed his round before the stoppage and shot another six birdies to share the lead on 10-under with Scotland’s Stephen Gallacher, who will have six holes to finish before completing his second round on day three on Saturday (Sunday NZ time).
The 34-year-old Kiwi golfer ended with a bogey on the challenging ninth but said he was “very happy” with a performance that propels him into contention for a second European Tour win. Among the chasing pack, two shots back, is Dustin Johnson, the world No 1 from the United States. ....
